Welcome to Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Orpington, located at Rowan House, 64 Sevenoaks Road, Orpington, Kent BR6 9JL. Our nursery is located close to the High Street in the town centre and is only a short walk from Orpington training station, making us perfect for families working in the local area or commuting in and out of London.
Our Orpington nursery provides a nurturing home-from-home environment, for children aged 3 months through to pre-school age. With an emphasis on learning through play, our carefully selected team of practitioners ensure your child is cared for in a safe, secure environment with planned activities to keep them engaged whilst having lots of fun.
We have dedicated rooms for our various age ranges and each room reflects the seven areas of learning, as prescribed in the Early Years Foundation Stage. All of our facilities are designed to be accessible to every child.
We are part of an award-winning nursery group, offering high quality childcare in our specially equipped nursery for children aged three months to five years old.
Adding to this, we tailor our care to suit your child’s age. We achieve this by placing children into the following age categories: babies aged 3 to 12 months, toddlers aged 12 months to 2 years and toddlers aged between 2 and 3 years old and lastly preschool aged three years plus. Due to our rooms being equipped especially for these ages, we are able to provide that home-from-home feel.

Star of the week… ⭐️⭐️
This week we have two of our amazing bank staff nominated for star of the week and they are Tommy & Alaina!
They both support across all rooms from babies to pre-school, they work well in any of the rooms, they are great team members who aren’t afraid of getting messy and Tommy is definitely a favourite in the pre-school…you can hear the children calling his name!

This week, we explored the exciting world of doctors and nurses!
The team got very creative with a variety of hands-on activities that sparked imagination and curiosity. The children thoroughly enjoyed taking care of their "patients," using plenty of plasters and bandages to treat all sorts of pretend ailments. It was a fantastic opportunity for role play, and it was heartwarming to see how nurturing and caring the children were in their roles. What made the experience truly special were the rich and meaningful conversations that naturally grew from the activities — from how to help others feel better to sharing personal experiences of visiting doctors. It was a memorable week full of learning, empathy, and fun!

Discoverers’ Adventures in Norway!
This past week, the Discoverers continued their global journey by exploring Norway! We had lots of fun creating reindeer crafts and diving into the sights and sounds of a traditional Norwegian fish market. The children learned about different types of fish, practiced using money, and enjoyed roleplaying as shoppers and sellers – a fantastic way to build real-world skills through play!
